カオジロムササビ
Petaurista alborufus
カオジロムササビ続きです。英名のRed-and-White Giant Flying Squirrelで検索すると、前回描いた顔の真っ白なタイプではなくこのようなパンダ模様の子が紹介されてる事が多いです。白いのは顔と肩のところまでで、お腹はクリーム色かオレンジ。背中と尾のつけ根に白斑があり手足は黒。そして目の色はグレーや青で鼻もピンクではなくグレーです。
体型も、このパンダ模様さんは細身で滑空していない時は飛膜が脇に垂れ下がるほど大きいです。カオジロムササビはムササビ属の中で最大の種と言われていますがたぶんこのパンダ模様さんのことだと思います。滑空している写真を見ると、とても大きそう。
顔が真っ白の台湾亜種はぽっちゃりしていて日本のホオジロムササビに近い体型っぽくないですか？こんなに違うのに同じ種類なんてビックリですよね。（続く）

I see this "panda-like" Red-and-White Giant Flying Squirrel is often introduced in English on internet. It's very different from Taiwanese subspecies.
The venter is not white but cream or orange. It has white spot on the back and white ring on the tail. And the eyes are blue or gray. I think the figure is also different: thinner and bigger. It's amazing that they are same species. :)
